Key Responsibilities

Welcome passengers and verify travel documents.

Issue boarding passes and assign seats.

Accept and tag baggage according to airline rules.

Make boarding announcements and manage queues.

Assist elderly passengers, families, VIPs, and passengers with reduced mobility.

Coordinate with cabin crew and flight operations for departure readiness.

Handle delays, cancellations, and rebooking support.

Ensure security and safety procedures are followed.

Different Areas of Work

Ground staff roles may vary depending on department:

Passenger Service

Check-in, boarding gates, arrivals assistance.

Ramp / Apron

Marshalling, headset communication, pushback coordination.

Baggage Services

Lost &amp; found, mishandled baggage reports.

Customer Support / Help Desk

Flight information and special requests.

Daily Duties

Reporting before flight opening time.

Preparing counters and system logins.

Verifying manifests and passenger loads.

Closing flights and submitting reports.

Skills &amp; Competencies

Strong communication and grooming.

Customer service mindset.

Ability to work in shifts, weekends, holidays.

Patience in high-pressure situations.

Teamwork and coordination.

Basic computer knowledge.

Educational Qualification

10+2 or graduation (aviation/hospitality preferred).
